February 3rd, 2012 by Brendan Dunne | 7 comments

The requisite ‘blackout’ colorway is one we can generally expect to show up at some point for any given sneaker. On the other hand, something that none of us expected or could have predicted was this beautiful take on the blackout look, the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Black History Month’. We’ve given you a detailed look at the whole Black History Month 2012 collection, so now it’s time to start figuring out which ones you want to take home with you come next weekend. The Nike LeBron 9 definitely has a strong case to make, with the aforementioned colorful graphics coming in strong, along with the added boost of showing up on a sneaker at the forefront of Nike Basketball design. Follow us after the jump for some extra shots of the shoes, which are starting to pop up at accounts like Millennium Shoes as of now.

nothing special about these except the concept of it being bhm edition. c'mon swoosh
in terms of looks on the court, the LJ9BHM are a 9/10, while the looks of KB7BHM and KD4BHM are both closer to 3/10. None will really look good for casual wear, but the KDs will look the best.
They're like the cool greys but with african symbols. Pretty weak unless they come with a hot pair of laces with the same design too. All Stars are tougher...
Oih-yeh D-Bollll~
If they would have used BHM laces it would have helped the shoe, seems like they really didn't care about this model. Like "hey its lebrons', they will buy it anyway" and they will lmao
sounds like your in line for these already....
