Nike Basketball had a notable stretch in the mid and into the late ’90s that was defined by some of the most ostentatious (and bulky) tooling the industry has ever seen. But the Uptempo series and its peers weren’t the only Swooshed kicks back then coming with crazy midsoles; just take the Nike Total Air Pillar for example. A remnant from a bygone era when we were just getting our feet wet with true full-length Max Air cushioning, this model is known for its 1998 OG colorways like the ‘Michigan’, white/neon and Griffey/Mariners-style designs, but this summer will bring a couple new palettes with slight alterations on the classic blocking patterns. Check out these Bulls and Celtics-leaning colorups up close after the jump and let us know how they compare to the originals. via Dino
