We’re two weeks from the extra day that gets tacked onto the end of February each leap year, but everybody knows that the best thing going on years divisible by four is the Summer Olympics Games. This year’s London Olympiad marks twenty years since Michael Jordan and the original Dream Team’s dominant performance in Barcelona, so you know Jordan Brand’s going to be all over that opportunity. But for all you young sneakerheads out there, the Air Jordan VI Retro ‘Olympic’ wasn’t MJ’s choice at the XXIV Games (he moved on to the Seven during the NBA season leading up to the ’92 Olympics), but rather Ray Allen who rocked them en route to the 2000 gold medal in Sydney. I believe these are colored up just like the OG sample from 2000.
To everybody complaining about the midsole, you can pay someone who knows what they're doing to repaint it like the 2000 release if it's that big of a deal to you.

the label on these will be, white/obsidian/varsity red. getting these. oh, the price tag on the 6/7 gold medal pack will be $350.
I hope that pack isn't super limited.

It doesn't matter what our opinions are about this or any JB shoe. They will put it out and cats will buy them. especially with all of the "hype" that has all of the sudden changed the "sneaker game" $400+ for some dave whites? They have nothing to do with the Jordan Legacy but we have these young whipper snappers buying kicks for all of the wrong reasons. Anyways this is just my opinion so don't get all emotional! ;-)
I agree, it's just frustration of having some wak kid with some Paco jeans, hanging off they shoulder white T, with a boost mobile phone, wrockin the piston 6's, and he eyeing your feet like y'all on the same status j wise. How is it that the Author of the article is saying that these are looking spot-on, when the mid sole color blocking is clearly different than the original? Lol...

How can Sneaker News say that these are a "spot on reproduction" with the unmistakable change to the midsole. We are not new to this game please don't insult our intelligence. Regardless they do look great and these are my grails so midsole or not i will be copping! Its that or wait another 10 years for the corrected midsole or maybe they will make it worse and make the midsole red in 2022!

Fire Red are basically the same thing as the Mars Blackmon's that came out a few years ago. The Bred 4's came out in a CDP. And the Colombias and Silver Anniversary's are very similar(not the EXACT same, but close). These 6's haven't came out in over a decade, and nothing similar has released either so I think these are considered more heat.
