The ongoing Ronnie Fieg x Asics tag-team has resulted in some of the most hotly anticipated suede classic runners ever released. The most recent of these was the ‘Mazarine Blue’ Gel Saga, a model that was previewed alongside a few other upcoming projects around Thanksgiving of last year. Also in that group was a pink Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT-II that has become the next in line to see a retail release, which means the red edition shouldn’t be too far off. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take another look at Fieg’s ‘Rose Gold’ GT-II, a model whose palette echoes one of the rising trends in jewelry design. They’re further proof that RF has mastered both colorblocking and the agonizing pre-release period that has sneakerheads already wondering how far these will inflate on the resale market.
