2012 is certainly the year of the re-issue, with special attention going to the original Air Tailwind – the first ever Nike shoe with ‘Air’ cushioning. This limited release first started to trickle down onto store shelves last month, but it looks like the Tailwind effect is still in play because KITH in New York City will release the Air Tailwind VNTG in the Grey/Blue colorway today. The Air Tailwind release also marks the first Nike release and the new footwear retailer, so what better way to kick off the partnership by releasing one of 2012’s gems?
