Lil’ Wayne Confirms Signature Shoe With Major Shoe Brand

Today’s hip-hop stars have become worldwide fashion icons, with the general public looking up to the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Pharrell for fashion and style tips above the latest tracks and beats. Few go on as far as emulating the exact style of Lil’ Wayne, who has gained a reputation of owning one of the most unique and eccentric selections of personal threads. Wearing hats above hoodies, snowboard boots indoors, or his penchant for Jeremy Scott’s most animalistic offerings are just some of his more recent ensembles, but if you’re really drawn to that type of get-up, things are about to get interesting because Lil’ Wayne, in an interview with Vibe, just confirmed plans of releasing his own shoe with a major sneaker brand. He does note that it’s “not a Nike or Reebok” or with his own brand Trukfit, and that deal itself is about as good as done – he just needs to sign the dotted line. Any guesses? Maybe his own co-collaboration with adidas and Jeremy Scott? Maybe some super-duper high-top with Supra? How will it compare to the Nike Air Yeezy or the Reebok x Swizz Beatz? Yes i agree carter 4 completely killed his career(if you didnt think it was over already after numerous mixtapes and that rebirth album) but with 70% of the subcribers on this site bein hypebeast this sneaker will sell. && if this shit would have came out during the carter 2 or carter 3 i and most of everybody would have bought them. example: 50 cent g-units sneakers sold, jay-z s.carters sold, nelly reebok kinda sold and ontop of it all yeezys are fire. so these weezy shoes will be the #1 hypebeast sneaker.
Record sales ain't got shit to do with a sneaker being sold out. I love jay-z's black album blueprint kingdom come and every album around it but I have never ever ever seen someone wearing S. Carter's idk where to get them from back then. The same with G-unit's although I actually saw people wear those. Its all about team marketing and mainly what shoe company your associated with that's why Yeezy was so successful and he only had 1 shoe in 3 different colorways drop.

I never was a big fan of hip-hop, but I remember a time when rappers used to be reknown for their lyrical expertise and gave a somewhat respectable impression. This guy is a joke. But hey, I'm not hating. Whatever brings food on the table...

i got my money adidas if they give that fruitcake weirdo jeremy scott a chance and he's still working for them I highly doubt wayne wouldn't be in the considered either. This shoe will sell out faster than jordans and foams and inch adidas closer to Nike all because the shoe has lil wayne stamped on it. Much like the yeezy's
