New Balance Excellent Makers – Flimby Factory

New Balance Excellent Makers Flimby Factory

“We make good products; people all over the world want New Balance Cumbria trainers.”

That Union Jack you see on some of the finest New Balance Classics releases? That’s not just a Redcoat theme or a symbol of some collaboration. The citizens of Cumbria County made those kicks at NB’s Flimby, UK factory, a location that’s come to represent top-notch quality and timeless style. The factory is set in a pastoral region whose fields remain as untouched as impeccable designs like the New Balance 576 ‘Made in England’ soon to release in honor of Flimby’s 30th anniversary. Andy Mandle, Roy Bell and Billy Edgar are the three longest tenured veterans of the plant, and each got a chance to create their own design to commemorate the occasion, and you can get a sense for what it takes to build them by watching the video after the jump.
