It’s not quite on the level of, say, creating an Air Foamposite One from denim, but applying canvas to the Air Max 97′s swooping lines isn’t exactly the most obvious transition for this fifteen year veteran. Then again, we have seen its distinctive full-length Max Air cushion successfully paired with the Jordan CMFT series, so perhaps taking the AM97 in a more casual route is indeed the most logical next step. Enter the Nike Air Max 97 CVS, a new debut for the summer season that’s just about to hit retailers in tonal styles like this black pair pictured above. Expect red, blue and others following the same pattern and stick with Sneaker News for word on their availability from NSW retailers like Titolo.

Very, very, very dope shoe, but they ruined this one with the white. Love the upper, though. That really improves an already great shoe. I can't buy a black shoe with a white bottom, but I will buy whatever colorway is decent.
I love the upper but the white midsole is a turnoff. I've always thought all the sculpting going on in the rear of the sole made it look kind of cheap and fake and the super contrasting white just amplifies that a hundredfold.
these look really comfortable.
