Charles Barkley spent a few seasons in Houston with Hakeem the Dream and Clyde the Glide chasing after that elusive championship ring. It was during their post back-to-back title phase of the mid/late ’90s that featured uniforms some would call ‘cartoonish’, others ‘absurd’. H-Town’s unis have since evolved into one of the league’s cleanest designs with a palette that reflects this Nike Air Max Barkley quite nicely. This molded remix can also be seen as something like Barkley’s Air Jordan IV ‘Cavs’, a reminder that Michael Jordan’s Bulls topped Barkley’s Suns in the season immediately preceding the Air Max2 CB ’94 debuted. No matter the backstory, you can’t go wrong with a red, black and white Air Max-cushioned mid-’90s basketballer, and this one popped up a short while back with pairs still available at Premier.

White laces would be so sick with these, it is a lot or red through-out the shoe, but the lace swap would even it out nice. Dope shoe.
