Jordan Brand’s Son Of Mars debut last week was met with surprising success, leaving store shelves at a much higher frequency and pace than expected. It seems like these days, any Air Jordan or Air Jordan-inspired shoe is at risk of disappearing at retail, but with the growing community of sneakerheads and the widening tastes and preferences, it’s a retail trend that was quite honestly, to be expected. There are four known colorways of the Jordan Son Of Mars thus far; the ‘Pop Art’, the Black/Red, an unseen ‘Olympic’, and this White/Varsity Purple rendition that should hit retailers soon. If the release of the Pop Art is any indication of how the Club Purple release will go down, you’re better of locking in your pair right now by securing one of the available units from el-store on eBay.

way cleaner shoe in person - green laces killed the Pop Arts. the purps are just ok.
I'm out on a limb, but the pop art S.O.M.s are fresh. much better on feet than in pics. The green laces killed the pop arts, so that was an easy swap. Strap really doesn't suck that bad in person. Hate all you want but the SOMs are fly - Yeezy roots lol I'm in the same boat on the purple overboard - JB gotta fug it up somehow. Packaging design needs a kick in the balls too, shits lame compared to the retros.
Does anyone else look at these and think back to the mid 2000s and think of that one guy who bought Jordans from a gas station and called them "exclusive"?

a lot of sneakerheads did. I'm not even gonna lie I was one of them who did sleep on them because my check didn't come before the release date. The following weeks on I think that tuesday or wednesday I went to the mall with my card and scooped up a 10.5 (half size smaller than usual) and walked out. Good ol days where something sudden happen and you still had a chance to get your shoes a couple days later. Nowadays if you get stuck at 2 red lights you can forget about it.
the back of the shoe is good. the top/front is horrid. Strap kills it.

they show the date in slam magazine which is around april 7 but not 2 sure but thats what it say in the magazine
I like the concept of combining retro classics but strap just tipped the scale overboard from this shoe becoming a hit
I'm waiting for a dope colorway of these.... These have some potential... I haven't completely written these off... Stick a classic colorway on these and you got yourself a decent pair of everyday kicks...
