A collaboration goes beyond a mere selection of luxurious materials and matching colors; it actually stems from an idea completely independent from leather, rubber and laces, and only when that idea is firmly grounded does the thought of transferring it onto a sneaker make incredible sense. Extra Butter’s idea of Robin Hood: Men In Tights is no gimmick; those of you in the ‘know’ are aware that the entire Extra Butter staff has an infatuation with cult films and even designed their in-store space like a movie theater lobby, going as far as hosting free movie nights inside the store on Friday evenings – popcorn, bean-bag chairs and all. So their mini-saga of Ahchoo Pumps are just an extension of how their minds work, and we caught great wind of it with the ‘Ahchoo’ AXT Pump in late December and the video preview that was shown earlier.
This first detailed look at the Extra Butter x Reebok Pump OXT ‘Sheriff Ahchoo’ is a on obvious continuation of the ‘Ahchoo’ Pump of December, depicting the progress of Dave Chappelle’s character in Robin Hood – Men In Tights. Now using another classic model in the Reebok Pump OXT trainer, Extra Butter selected an accurate palette of colors to match Ahchoo’s sheriff garments with pheasant feather-print horse hair on the outer foxing, paired with brown suede, black leather, and a rubberized toe-cap. We’ve got a detailed look at the upcoming Extra Butter x Reebok Pump OXT ‘Sheriff’ below so take a look and mark your calendars for a midnight release on Saturday at night – just 350 pairs will be available so start lining up on Friday!
