It seems like Pop-Art is making a comeback in more ways than one. After tearing it up at SXSW, Jay-Z returned home to the Big Apple and was spotted in New York City with wife Beyonce and new-born Blue Ivy on their way to Nobu restaurant. Jay-Z’s style caught the attention of some photographers, as he matched his simple gear with the Jordan Son Of Mars ‘Pop-Art’, a shoe that’s been spotted on several celebrities since it released earlier this month. The Son Of Mars has seen mixed reviews by Sneaker News readers, but they seem to be a-okay in Hova’s book, so check out Jay-Z and his kicks below and let us know if you copped a pair. via mirror
I actually wanted the CLUB PURPLE colorway but if I have to make line the forget it... FUCKEN GUY!!!
BEYONCE WHY? HOW? SMH "You can pay for school but you can't buy class" and apparently you CAN'T BUY GOOD LOOKS
It's funny all these people hate on these but love yeezys (look very similar to me)...wear what YOU like people!! Not just because some celebrity wears them or not! These def not for me...
no Hov, please come out later and make a statement saying you were payed to wear these. you one of the few artist i have respect for....but this?
disappointed...these J'z are for a tasteless nigga like Wayne...feel disappointed to see Jay rock em.
Is it not hot outside? Only time I should see these is from outlets stores to play ball in only! If they even good enough for that!
this is living proof the sneaker game is seriously messed up. when 6 rings came out, they ended up on the sale rack. when AJFs came out, they ended up on the sale rack. when JB 6-17-23 came out, they ended up on the sale rack. even spizikes, probably the best executed JB hybrid, are 50-50 when it comes to ending up on a sale rack. heads were selective about what they bought. now, JB creates the ugliest hybrid ever, and hova is rocking them with a goofy smile like he's wearing some undefeated ivs. next thing you know, every sneaker is sold out in 5 minutes online and there's a gang of idiots camped out for a week over some nonsense. WTF.
I bet Spike sent them to everybody in hopes they wear them and they sell and 40 acres and a mule gets a percentage. Lol. Because nobody for real likes these things. For real
maaaaayb wear da purple & white pair but not theeeeese hov... u might as well put ur blk cement 3s back on lol
I'm not a fan of these, but it is pretty hilarious how the same cats that crucify these joints praise the Air Yeezys! The sneaker culture is full of hypebeast, and I applaud Jigga for making a wack shoe kinda work. Everyone dik riding the Air Yeezys do yourself a favor...looking in the mirror and smack yo self!!!!!
I dig the silhouette on the SOMs too - I don't get why they get so much hate. The green laces on the pop arts killed them, but thats an easy swap. Not too impressed with the color combos, but its a dope shoe, super rare too. You can't really hate these and love the Yeezy 1s IMO.
Should have kept it looking like a five and gotten rid of that stupid velcro strap. Cant beleive these even hit the market,You cant match this!
Dayum people either love em or hate em. But since they've been getting nothin but hate here I might as well be the first one to say I dig em. I like the purple in white version better but the strap frm the 20's and the upper and pull tab from the 6's do it for me.
All I can say is these celebrities were given a pair and paid to wear them. Or that they were given a pair, paid to wear them, and decided to because it presented an opportunity to pair up a uniquely different outfit with these kicks. Regardless, they are ugly as shit and a Jordan mutant that no self-respecting kick connoisseur would ever wear.
what does having a child have to do with sneakers stupidass!!!!!!! Lil Wayne's bi-curious ass wears ugg boots but oh wait he has kids never mind sneakerheads we have to back off of lil Wayne we forgot he has children. -_-
I guarantee your just saying that cuz this guy wore them. Lol otherwise you would join us as the 99.99% real heads that think these are a disgrace to the sneaker culture. C'mon son!
