The field of sixty-four is suddenly one fourth its original size, as the Sweet Sixteen Round of play has been set after Saturday and Sunday’s Second Round Games. Of those sixteen teams, there’s quite an even dispersion of footwear brands being represented by the schools; on Nike’s roster, there are eight schools, adidas’ is repped by six, and Jordan Brand’s soldiers are down to two. These sixteen schools will continue to represent the brands that have outfitted them with their best sneakers and uniforms, like Syracuse’ Hyper Elite Platinum, adidas’ TechFit jerseys, and Jordan Brand’s classic Hyper Elite for UNC and Marquette. Take a good look at all the kicks and uniforms below and stick with Sneaker News for continual coverage of the 2012 NCAA March Madness Tournament! via Yahoo

I can't believe any of these players would wear the Jordan X. It's, by far, the worst performing Jordan ever. No lateral traction, no zoom air, and heavy. The game has evolved laterally since that shoe was designed, so why put yourself at a disadvantage by wearing it?
