Sneaker Con Miami March 2012 – Event Recap
Ever been to a Sneaker Con event? If you haven’t, you’re missing out. An endless sea of the sickest kicks with thousands of fellow sneaker fanatics lined up and packed into one gigantic event space makes Sneaker Con one of the must-have tickets of the year, and with its most recent successful stop in Miami this past weekend, the growing reputation as the commanding sneaker event in the world will be hard to ignore. The Fieldhouse at the Bank United Center was the hot-spot in Miami, with adidas Originals serving as a major sponsor with a sick installation and showcase area that displayed some of adidas’ upcoming hot commodities. Of course, the majority of the heat was brought in by the thousands of patrons and hundreds of vendors, all of which is displayed below. Continue reading to check out the great event recap of Sneaker Con Miami and stay tuned for an up-close look at all the ‘Feet’ from this event!
Why is everyone complaining about being young and this and that some young people actually do know about sneakers, and the parents that are giving these young kids money are the same parents that used to hustle to buy one pair of jordans back in the day. Ever think maybe their parents used to be sneakerheads, and don't call young people spoiled rich kids its just hard working parents who love their kids enough to give them money am 17 and i know a lot about shoes not just jordans or nikes but supras redwings primarks etc..... sneakerhead and jordan head are two different things.
the only thing that caught my eye amongst all these photos is the girl in the third and second last pic on the last page......she bangin'
Damn that chick would get it. Panama City for Spring Break! I wish Sneaker News would have more segments on " FLY chicks in FLY kicks".
Wow looks like some of the same people that I was in line while waiting on the quickstrike 14s. People using names like i got the concords and "cool grey space jams". I heard someone trying to describe the 18s but didn't know they were 18s and oh this last one killed me. "I'm here to buy the white/red last shots"
WOW so cats in Fl think its fly two wear two different shoes ?!? SMFH shit is wack. And the lil kid rocking the low red 11's, mom payed loot for them.
hypebeast with the yeezy on 1 foot and lebrons on the other, alotta heat though...the girl with the grey shirt and black tights is hot as f**k
It looked as if there was a field trip from every school in the Swamp... Spending mom and pops money. Sad what the shoe game has gone..! Same sneaks that were hyped as of late. Oh well hope L.A won't be as lame lookin! Piece in the 323 !
snap back floating off my head, check skinny jeans, check backpack, check mid calf socks, check high school/jr high ID, check
That chic on 3rd-to-the-last pic is SMOKIN'...daeym!! forget da sneakers. Wat the hell she's staring at dat punk?!!!
I was there and i must say that the game is getting alot younger. I mean we all got to start at some age but dang where were more OLD HEADS AT??? BTW i Broke errrrrrrrrrrybody neck with my Nates and SN didnt post one pic of them??? I guess you needed more space to show CONCORDS AND GALAXY FOAMS???!!!
You noticed the ratio of lames there too!!! And I thought I was missing out on these sneaker conventions..... Oh well # findlay prep ALL DAY
i understand that many people that fit this build are hypebeast posers, but you cant discredit anyone that dresses like that. someone had to have started the trends (2pac wore snapbacks like that) and older heads should be happy that there's atleast some young kids that are getting in the game cuz they actually love sneakers, like myself
AAAND that's how you catch a case. I was there, she is BAD and will be a nice SMUT one day but she's 15 :/
that kid wearing one tan yeezy and one miami nights 8 low is a perfect example, cant even put into words how dumb that looks
SMDH.....these pix make me wanna retire, too many damn kids that are not true sneakerheads. In Miami they should call the event KiddieCon
I was there this past weekend, I felt like I was in a POKEMON convention, kids everywhere. A lil Kid telling his dad to give him money for AJXI SpaceJams. I was like damn at the age all my parents could afford where some British Knights SMMFH -_-
how are young cats ruining the game most of the youngins there are real sneakerheads so you make no sense stop talkin bout this ruining the game BS be happy they not out running the streets.
yes sir!!!! but i see that got the on kicks up today lol!!!!!!!!! i was killllllllllllllllin em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wish half these kids got swallowed by their mom instead of reproducing some hype beast wana-B shoe collectors...i bet if you went around this convention asking half of the kids what Jordan dropped the year they were born....they'd all reply with the first word 'retro'
Spoiled/rich kids! Smh can't no true old head that had to grind (ie. as a kid cutting grass on the weekends for for your grandparents to collect enough change to get ONE nice pair of sneaks for the school year) respect that shii. Don't care if they are lil hypebeast or in it for the love of the game. Look like young hipster/posers gtfoh
your point? he still wore snapbacks...and they definitely made hats w/ velco closures as well as the ones with the cloth strap and metal clasp back then
