The drama involving Derek Fisher and both the Lakers and Rockets organizations came to a boiling point when Fisher turned his back cold hard cash and made the decision to play elsewhere. While Fisher wasn’t in the building when the Lakers came for a visit, the competitive intensity was high as the Lakers and Rockets battled it down to the last minute. For this game, Kobe Bryant debuted the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ in the ‘Lakers’ colorway; the wild detail on the upper resembling the poison dart frog is present on three upcoming Kobe VII releases (with the ‘Lakers’ version seen here becoming available in May), and clearly Kobe couldn’t resist rocking them early for the game, which could be a potential Playoff match-up.
