Jordan x Converse: Becoming Michael Jordan
April 2nd, 2012 by John K. | 8 comments

“I really didn’t know…exactly the magnitude of what I had just done.”
Late last night, Sneaker News was first to let you know about the Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack auctions – 23 limited-edition sets of the Converse Pro Leather and Michael’s UNC Tar Heels college jersey autographed housed in an amazing box packaging. The Pack celebrates Michael’s Championship-winning shot in the 1982 National Title Game – a shot that helped him ‘become’ Michael Jordan. Of course, that was his name since birth, but before ‘the shot’, Michael says he was referred to as ‘Mike’. The ‘Mike’ to ‘Michael’ transition can be likened to a boy becoming a man, a talent become a star, or in this case, Mike becoming Michael Jordan. Check out this video of Jordan talking about this profound moment of his life and don’t forget to bid on one of the Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack auctions on eBay.
