One wouldn’t expect woven leather on a outdoor football shoe, but then again, Nike isn’t about meeting expectations. They either surpass or give us something entertainingly out of left-field, like the Nike5 Streetgato Woven. The Streetgato first debuted last year in various colorways (and the underrated NITRAID collaboration), but arrives in a slightly different form – an upper featuring tonal leather, partially constructed with the classic woven appeal. So while Nike intends the Streetgato to be worn for quick and easy 5-sided football pick-up games, these are more of a ‘weekend’ shoe, for casual walks and such. The Nike5 Streetgato Woven are beginning to hit retailers worldwide, as the Black/Medium Brown colorway just became available at Limited Edt., so expect at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.
