Eric Koston, Tony Trujillo, Silas Baxter-Neal; these are just three of the twenty-two men who’ve been crowned Thrasher Skater of the Year. It’s an award that since 1990 has fairly accurately expressed the general consensus of who killed it the most that year, the most recent winner a Nike SB rider by the name of Grant Taylor. Serious skaters and fans of his rasta-fied 2009 Blazer SB Elite already know exactly who he is, but nobody will forget his name once you’ve seen the deluxe package put together for his ‘Skater of the Year’ Nike SB Team Edition. The shoe itself is quite similar to the ‘SB Chronicles’ edition, but a laser-etched wooden box and ‘SOTY 11’ branding sets these apart as a friends & family exclusive. Let us know if you’d try to grab these at a premium from the secondary market and stick with Sneaker News for all the upcoming Nike SB release dates. via HS
