Nike Air Max 90 ’112′ by Dank Customs
April 13th, 2012 by Aaron Hope | 13 comments

Dank Customs just applied the ‘Entourage’ Air Force 1 motif to the unlikely Air 180 for the upcoming Sole Search sneaker scavenger hunt, but might his latest application of an instantly recognizable color/texture combo be even more impressive? The Nike Air Max 90 ‘N2THA0 217′ custom takes its name from sneaker collector Norm Dawson’s birthday (which he just so happens to share with one Michael Jeffrey Jordan), but its look is utterly ’112′. These take the Neon AM95-plus-Elephant formula made famous by DJ Clark Kent and apply it to the Air Max 90 silhouette (Elephant being practically unprecedented on the AM90), adding embroidered branding, a custom shoebox and an info card hangtag that collectively lend these a serious sense of professionalism. The custom sneaker world has grown too large to ask if this one is ‘the best’, but there’s also no discussion that this is one of the most sharply executed projects we’ve profiled here on Sneaker News.
