If we were to hand out ‘sneaker awards’ right now, the trophy for “Most Suprising Sneaker of the Year” is without a doubt the Jordan Son of Mars. Air Jordan hybrid sneakers haven’t always been widely embraced so the projections for the Jordan Son of Mars weren’t much different than what we experienced with past hybrid projects like the Jordan Rare Air and even some colorways of the Jordan Spiz’ike, but with the fanfare attached to the first ‘Pop Art’ colorway and the recently released ‘Club Purple’, we can only expect this classic Bulls get-up to be the most popular of the bunch. Tentatively scheduled for a June 2nd release, this new Jordan Son Of Mars colorway wraps up the OG Black/Red colorway while adding in some key-note details of the AJ Legacy; it’s the subtle hints of patent leather on the mudguard, specking on the ‘sharks teeth’, the iced-out ousole, and the two tones of elephant print that give this upcoming Jordan Son of Mars a handsome profile. Every since the yeezy custom, I been waiting on a clean makeup like these. These are very nice. I might want em, but only if I find em in the outlets or on sale. My have to change that route cal though.( looks god but could flow better.) Im thinking black,.....or just throw it all off and make em look like the blk/red/green colorway of the spizikes

The color way is straight the shoe are just average at best. Ill let u folks have at it with those son of mars. There's just too many retros nikes that are coming out that have way more significance for my cash. If they were 80 I might would consider.

Well out of all the CW this is the better one. I wouldn't cop for $160 at discount price for sure though. Id they'd resemble the OG blk Spizike colorway with the green it would have looked much better. Wish the strap could be unstrapped
The new love from newer Mars viewers comes directly from the over hyping of the Yeezy.. Those who liked em still will...Yeezy heads now adore..

Not a fan of the patent leather and the speckle on the sole but i'm going to cop. still trying to remove the straps on my pop arts and club purples but i overall like the model

If this shoe is based off(composed of, rather) the 3, 4, 5, 6 where does the strap from the XX's fit in 2 this? And more important, WHY? Other thn tht the shoe is clean with this cw. Not cop worthy imo.
The strap makes no sense in the design and would look better without it. But I think they threw it in to mimic the Yeezy and a strap and with print was a big part of the design cue..

You obviously don't know the history of the shoe (sigh), but luckily I'm here to bring you up to speed... The original Spiz'ike is composed of every shoe that Spike Lee (Mars Blackmon) advertised (3,4,5,6, and 20). The Son of Mars therefore is composed of the same shoes. That is why there is the 20 strap. The nod to the 20 on the original Spiz-ikes was the shoe lining. The lining was composed of the same graphics that appear on the 20's strap. Heck, just 2 years ago JB did a tribute pack where they relesed 5 Spiz'ikes with each shoe paying tribute to one of the 5 shoes that went into creating the Spiz'ike. Does the patent leather Spiz'ike that looked like the 20 Stealth ring a bell?
