Paul Bunyan represents the rugged lumberjack in all (North) Americans, so it’s no surprise that a Made in the USA New Balance 574 inspired by his legend was a big hit when it released last fall. NB now turns to a different ‘Tall Tale’ who made even more of an impact on our culture for reasons not the least of which is that he actually existed. The NB574 ‘Johnny Appleseed’s red suede reflects its inspiration as subtly as the man for whom they’re named continues to affect our daily lives as a result of his early nineteenth century seed spreading. Glad I purchased a pair. As stated before, NB price points are in a good range and I get what I pay for. I've already gutted much of my collection and replaced them with NB's. Never looked back. No matter, though. Haters gonna hate. On another note, don't sleep on these. Many of the retailers who get them waste no time in moving them off their shelves. People know a good thing when they see it. So glad I was able to get a pair for myself.
This is an awesome shoe. Colorful, but not too overdone. And a gum sole is always a plus. On a side note, you still have a lot of Johnny Appleseeds running around, albeit for different reasons, however.
Was never a new balance looker or fan, never owned a pari but these caught my attention..I love being versatile when it comes to whats on my feet so I'm def. gonna cop these..they look like a nice,basic, laid back type
When did this New Balance hypes start? I know their retro and current models have good quality and all but their designs and shapes are uninspiring. That big "N" logo is really UGLY to me and just throws off every shoe they have. /MOO
Good. Have fun camping for the next fake leather Made in China Jordan release. Those are always worth your time and money. Meanwhile, I will be easily (not camping) grabbing whatever New Balance release I want, knowing ahead of time that it is Made in the USA with the absolute highest quality of materials, without having to worry about spending a car note on a pair of shoes. But hey, good luck with that.
I dont know about you and your people but I never buy a shoe based on hype, I buy it if it looks nice and is my style I could care less if they are sought after or not you damn beast
The quality, refreshing colorways, and plethora of design plays like "American tall tales" and their collaborations are why people are finally appreciating New Balance. Also the prices on New balances is appropriate.

I have those, and yes, quality on these is insane ... best '' amercan tales '' so far ... and by the way, those shoes can be find in many local store and they are abordable ... so you heard that Ronnie Fieg, with your stupid limited collaboration ;)
Was Ronnie's even a collaboration? It looked to me like he just ordered a bunch from the Build Your Own 574 section of NB's website and got the sole inserts screenprinted with his terrible Kith logo.
