There is no question LeBron James’ ‘Elite’ status in the league, but an NBA Championship Ring on his finger would easily fit him alongside the greatest to ever play the game. Next weekend, LeBron James will switch on his post-season fire as he laces up the LeBron 9 Elite – the $250 sneaker that has caused quite a stirring discussion in our comments area in regards to how the MSRP would have an effect on the limits of pricing of sneakers. The Varsity Maize colorway has been praised by some as being the best Elite offering we’ve seen thus far, and this May 12th, these can be yours for a quarter of a thousand dollars (add a few bucks if your states tacks on sales tax). Must-have for you? Check out this new detailed gallery below and chime in with your thoughts. Photos: SC
Krishna Sir,Namaskar. This is Narayan Singh Gurung from London. Thank you very very much for your detailed inomaortifn about Ghandruk. May we hope to hear from you the same in the days to come as well. Finally please extend my and my family's regards to Dharma Shila madam and children.Bye for now.
I kind of understand the furor over the price but they are advertised as top of the line basketball shoes. Nike are targeting people who take basketball seriously, the same way NB, Mizuno etc. make running shoes that cost nearly 300 for hardcore joggers. Not saying they're worth it, but people need to stop treating these Elites like regular releases and bitching about the price.
thats where your wrong. it resembles bruce lee because he wore a yellow and black motorcycle suit that he stole in the movie game of death. a pair of black and yellow kobes were also given this nickname
What cliche nickname are the cliche sn'eads giving this one? Bumblebee's? Bruce Lee's? Same old same old huh. Also, why would they be discussing and complaining about price? These are the people that happily pay re-sellers $800-1,500 for some limited kicks regardless of wether they like em or not, because their game is lazy and they need the easy props to feel good bout them selves. What they probably saying is... these are too expensive at $250 because they aren't that limited, if they were more limited we would happily pay a reseller $700 for them. Because then we would have something limited and people would know i paid $700 for them and i would be considered cool. Hypebeasts Unite! 'Yo... you DONT have the latest South Beach colorway? Lame-o!'
Maybe the people who pay resellers $800-$1,500 for a pair of limited kicks are people who actually have real lives and jobs and don't have the time to spend 3 days camping out with a bunch of kids to buy them at retail?
Be honest, if he had gotten a ring would that make that $250 a little easy to swallow? If not, stop bringing up the RING situation. In my opinion I think your just making up excuses why you can't pay the $250. Just be honest with yourself.
U hit it right on the money!!! Him having or getting a ring ain't got nothing to do w/ the price tag of why some of y'all are complaining about. Kobe has rings...you don't see his elite going for $250. And for ppl who are saying $250 is too much, I hope and prey y'all aren't buying from resellers??? I mean, $250 is a lot for straight of the back, but as bad I wanted them "All-Star" LeBrons...if someone were selling them for $250 flat...I'd buy them right now, but I can't do the $300+ for some shoes that only cost $185 total...So, quit fronting about the $250 price tag...You either can get them or you can't...Simple as that
uhhhhh actually a ring has a whole lot to do with this situation. How many rings does Jordan have? How about Kobe? Hell even D wade has a ring but you don't see ANY of their shoes touching this 250 mark. They won championships and did amazing things in their shoes which not only brings nostalgia when buying a pair but makes the shoe that much more worth it. I'm sorry but im not paying 250 for some shoes that even the player himself can't live up to expectations when wearing them on court, but that's just me. also don't bring that technology bullshit into this talking about this shoe is very updated because last time I checked jordan and kobe and many other players with signature shoes didn't have a problem winning in just some "outdated" zoom air and small piece of carbon fiber shank. overrated shoes for an overrated player.....
what does that have to do with anything? these are basketball shoes.... but sadly none of these ever produced will be used to actually play because all you fat nerds need to buy them to "rock" to your grandmas cookout
