Next weekend, LeBron James will switch on his post-season fire as he laces up the LeBron 9 Elite – the $250 sneaker that has caused quite a stirring discussion in our comments area in regards to how the MSRP would have an effect on the limits of pricing of sneakers. I kind of understand the furor over the price but they are advertised as top of the line basketball shoes. Nike are targeting people who take basketball seriously, the same way NB, Mizuno etc. make running shoes that cost nearly 300 for hardcore joggers. Not saying they're worth it, but people need to stop treating these Elites like regular releases and bitching about the price.

What cliche nickname are the cliche sn'eads giving this one? Bumblebee's? Bruce Lee's? Same old same old huh. Also, why would they be discussing and complaining about price? These are the people that happily pay re-sellers $800-1,500 for some limited kicks regardless of wether they like em or not, because their game is lazy and they need the easy props to feel good bout them selves. What they probably saying is... these are too expensive at $250 because they aren't that limited, if they were more limited we would happily pay a reseller $700 for them. uhhhhh actually a ring has a whole lot to do with this situation. How many rings does Jordan have? How about Kobe? Hell even D wade has a ring but you don't see ANY of their shoes touching this 250 mark. They won championships and did amazing things in their shoes which not only brings nostalgia when buying a pair but makes the shoe that much more worth it. Good question. I would have to say the carbon fiber that wraps around the shoe, and maybe they put on stronger materials but it is pretty high.
