We’re bordering on an all-out free for all for cross campus collabos these days, with Converse Jordans and Nike Lunar basketball shoes. What’s next? The apparent answer is this Nike SB x Nike Sportswear team up that sees the relatively recent Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 infused with the staple silhouette of the Nike Air Max 90. Still no word on a release date so this teaser image from Nike SB will have to do, one that shows off the back badge in a decidedly ‘Infrared’ looking colorway. Not exactly sure what Nike SB is trying to accomplish with all these hybrids. These Koston hybrids are no better than 90% of the Jordan Brand and Nike Sportswear hybrids, but the SB kids will eat up the hype as long as Nike puts them in extremely limited packaging.
I'm excited to see what comes of this.
I will say this: I enjoy the Koston 1's I got for $29 at my local Nike outlet. Yo!
