The Nike Zoom KD IV has proven to be Kevin Durant’s breakout signature, so it’s fitting that this year’s model featured more of the 23-year old, soon-to-be three-time scoring champ’s personal life on display than each of its predecessors. The Zoom KD IV has given us colorways like the ‘Weatherman’ inspired by Durant’s childhood ambitions, the outstanding ‘Nerf’ package in reflection of the Durantula’s playful attitude and even a PE for his mother. The latest revelation stays in the family, blending the ‘Think Pink’ WBCA initiative with a tribute to KD’s late Aunt Pearl who passed when Kevin was only eleven. Their pearly heel panel is as eye-catching and unique as this memorial is heartfelt and filled with hope, and you can see some new details including the midfoot strap’s hidden message after the jump below.
