Nike Basketball Prepares for 2012 NBA Playoffs
It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that NBA fans were seriously worried about a complete cancellation of basketball this season, but a sudden and fortuitous turn of events resulted in a shortened 66-game season. Now, Nike’s signature and marquee athletes prepare to go for the Larry O’Brien gold as LeBron James of the Miami Heat, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics navigate their respective teams – and right now it looks like these stars are headed for a crash collision. This Saturday marks the beginning of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, and you’ll see Kobe and LeBron wear their respective Elite gear, while Nike could have something special in store for Durant and Pierce. Thank you for the good writeup. It in fact was once a entertainment account it. Glance advanced to far delivered agreeable from you! By the way, how could we be in contact?
Sick marketing but common...Lebron has no post game! Why in every picture he's got the ball they got him posting up lol Kobe's images are the sickest plus they show both his home and away pairs. Im fuxin with the black Lebron Elites thooouuuugghhhh......Rock them joints any time anywhere.
Miami will come up short again i predict...they have no consistent synchronization on court. It will surprise me if they do. The Kicks are the shit. Carbon fiber just makes it a beast. Everything else including the price of air is going up so expect sneakers to skyrocket too. Its not fair to many but its the hobby we chose
Great job Nike! The profit margin on the 3 dollar shoes will surely pay off in dividends for your stockholders.
nike is trying really hard to hype this elite product line. in-depth interviews to justify the price based on "premium" materials... glorified photoshop of its signature athletes looking like greek gods with gold sparks on impact... how much of that $250 is going into the hype machine ?
yeah but he always said he didnt want his shoes to cost more than $100 the elite tag would put them at $200 plus like the other 2.
Most people dont realize dat da Jordan 17s were 200 retail. And dat was 10 yrs ago... So 250 fa sum shoes aint really surprisin. I dont like it, but its not surprisin in da least. And next yr, rumor is they gonna b 300+... So their really nothin we can do bout da price. So either cop or not. Its jus da reality we live in
Nike is still a company why you mad they just advertising like all companies should ??? I know shenanigans when I see em this one seems clean
But the Jordan 17s from 10 years ago included the briefcase which justified the $200 price tag. If they would have been sold for $200 without the briefcase, then that would have been inexplicable!
