The Rod Laver Vintage silhouette has been a popular one for adidas divisions ranging from the Originals classics lineup to the Three Stripes skate team. This latest drop comes in collaboration with one of Japan’s leading clothing retailers in continuation of the ‘B.B.U’ partnership to which their Beauty & Youth label is the first abbreviated. These United Arrows x adidas Originals Rod Lavers are tangentially connected to the other 3 BBU Rod Laver Vins coming up soon, but the use of a woven espadrille-like sole has these standing out against both that set and the majority of white summer sneakers we’ve seen thus far. A fresh take on a classic shoe. I like this, it would've been great if they had given it the effect the deconstruct af1's have and slimmed the shape down.
