Did you catch the event recap of the Sneaker Freaker Swap Meet? It’s definitely worth a look if you want to get a look at sneaker scenes on the other side of the world, but before you head over there, check out another event on the Eastern Hemisphere – the Street Dreams x Sole Exposition ‘Sneaker Free Market’ in South Korea. One of the main attractions at the event was an amazing showcase of customs sneakers done by a collective called The Creakers, who completed a sick Nike Air PR1 x Air Yeezy ‘Net’ custom (complete with a glow-in-the-dark outsole and upper). Another custom worth checking out was the Air Jordan XI with the white/black zebra-like print (or like the Daktari Dunk Lows from a decade ago). Customs = Fake. Thats the definition. Even if they the sweetest customs. We americans call them fake because it isn't a colorway that particular brand created. If you made it, its fake. Collaboration customs can be considered real. All these shoes are real Them South Beach Jordans 7s is sexy tho.

Sorry for the "noob" question but exactly how are customs made? I know they are not fake(: But do people who work there just kind of do their own little thing at the shops and rock'em or sell'em? Or what?!!
they can be done a lot of ways start with a real base and paint stich swap your way to what ever your mind can come up with

Did anyone else notice the orange Nike tag on the cool grey XI's? I thought the orange tag was a new thing that Nike was going to roll out later this summer. Has the orange tag been around for a while in the Asian market? Did Nike produce a fresh batch of cool greys under the radar? SMH.

you'll have to definitely hit the bigger cities: seoul (most definitely: hongdae; itaewon) and you could also check out spots in incheon.

Remember when the BIN XIII's first came out and everyone thought they were god-awful? Those joints are dopeeeee.
Had a wonderful time and even bought the BIN 5's while there. Korea has alot of sneakerheads wether its soldier or civilian

I was here at this event, the guy was painting right there. and Everyones shoes are not fakes, contrary to popular belief Korea is a pretty rich country that gets tons of shoes. It isn't third world over here
yeah... asains in general are very materialistic (brand savvy). people assume because china manufacturer's fake products asians rock fakes...? you get spotted with something fake (loui, gucci, nike, ect.) in japan even moms with talk ish about you

Lotta customs. I guess that's big in Korea? If so then that's dope. I just know in America people would get kinda suspicious.
Customs are not actually big in Korea, but I have seen people rocking them. It's just that this event was pretty small and dude brought a lot of customs to sell. I was really feeling the Yeezy PR1s, they were really nice in person. The even was a bit of a letdown though.
