Air Jordan IV Retro – White – Varsity Red – Black

Air Jordan IV Retro – White – Varsity Red – Black

Air Jordan 4 Varsity Red 8

The Air Jordan IV is enjoying a strong retro revival in 2012, starting with February’s ‘White Cement’ drop and culminating at the start of the holiday season as we expect the ‘Black Cement’ OG in stores for Black Friday.  In between arrives a third 1989-born colorway just as was the case with last year’s Air Jordan III blowout, but what the IVs will do this year that the IIIs couldn’t match is come through with that fourth and final OG.  That’s right, along with June’s ‘Military Blue’ edition, we’ll also be getting the once ‘Fire Red’ Air Jordan 4 just in time for back-to-school.  We say ‘formerly’, because as in the case of the formerly-Tech Grey ’12 ‘Cements’, these have surfaced with a revised color code that provides instant verification of their age.  But as we remember with the ‘White Cement’, the purist outcry to return to original form was eventually followed with proof that those were indeed Cement Grey.  Click through for a closer look at the AJ4s that most recently featured Mars Blackmon’s face, let us know if you’d rather see them in Fire Red and stick with Sneaker News for updates as we approach the August drop date.  Photos: AR
