Is this Kobe Bryant’s final run at a title? Does he have it in him to capture his sixth ring? The Laker faithful is certainly pulling for the Black Mamba, who, despite going through some personal troubles over the season, put up a solid season and almost won another Scoring Title (he dropped 38 on the Nuggets on Monday). Tomorrow, the second installment of the Poison Dart Frog Series will become available at Nike Basketball retailers, and of the three PDF releases, these are obviously the most Laker-centric as it adopts the Gold/Purple onto the wild pattern on the upper. Horrible. Maybe ok if you're a megastar NBA player, but most people have no desire to wear ugly shoes like this. Nike has gone totally mad with these releases. And I still can't believe they had the audacity to make a hoops shoe with insoles that could not be exchanged for orthotics... especially considering Lebron, Kobe and most other NBA players now wear orthotics in their shoes to protect their feet. Highly irresponsible of Nike.
