The Nike Blazer is about to celebrate its 40th anniversary, and there’s a good reason even people who’ve never set their feet to griptape absolutely love the Nike SB drops. The Blazer is an icon of timeless basketball style, but vulcanized soles are also a whole heckuvalot more comfy when they’re aided by Zoom Air inserts as in the case of those SBs. And we’ve seen the 6.0 Action Sports division trot out a similar embedded cushion made of LunarLon recently, but what would happen if the Swoosh’s original b-ball design got a full-on tech refresh? It’d look something like the photos Tung Ho just tweeted wherein a mesh-uppered Blazer hightop is depicted atop a LunarRacer-like sole that both makes obvious its upgrade and ties in perfectly with the ‘Dunkman’-leaning colorup. These aren’t expected to see the light of day at retail, but if Nike Sportswear ended up selling these, would you buy a pair?
