Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 999 ‘Steel Blue’ – Release Date
May 7th, 2012 by Brendan Dunne | 16 comments

Just last week, we gave you the scoop with the first look at Ronnie Fieg’s upcoming collaborative New Balance SMU-the New Balance 999 ‘Steel Blue’. Following up on that initial preview we’ve got a much clearer view of this take down of the famed New Balance 1300 of the same name, a sneaker Fieg has pegged as one of his most beloved models in that cannon of impeccably clean retro runners. Click through for a better look at the ‘Steel Blue’ colorway as ported onto the more angular, smaller N model of the New Balance 999, which will arrive serendipitously on Friday, June 15th, coinciding with the 30th birthday of Mister Fieg himself. THESE ARE LOOKING BETTER THAN THE NB 2000...SIIIIIIIICCCCCKKKK!!!!
I've been waiting on release information, these will be my first pair of 999s.
Stash, anyone?
When do these drop?
June 15th, it says it in the description -___-
I dunno Ronnie Fieg, and I don't care about him. But these are a nice simple pair of shoes.
The colors used are perfect, these are very clean sneakers
Lets hope since they are not asics the hype on these will be minimal
These are releasing "Globally". So they should be a little easier to get your hands on! Not a 1 of 300 release!
How do you know? I really want these!
it says on a sneaker freaker website article that its a "global release". and man am i excited!!!
I remember buying my first NB's and my mom laughed at me and said they were old people shoes. Not like i care what my mom thinks of my attire i just thought it was funny having an old person say im wearing old people shoes.
Ya mom loves my New B's, especially when kick them off right before I drop trou :)
Beautiful shoe
Hmmm.. Interesting he took the steel blue colorway of the 1300 and laid it over the 999. Not bad at all.. I imagine retail will be $130 at Kith and then $300 plus on ebay 10 min after they selll out.
You managed to type that much without saying anything. Congrats.
