In 2010, Nike Basketball capitalized on LeBron James’ decision to move from A (Cleveland) to B (Miami) and introduced the ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8, which today is considered to be one of the most coveted LeBrons of all-time and one of the most notable releases of the decade. The Miami feel-good vibes returned for the LeBron 9 in the form of the Elite, adopting a similar colorway to the ‘South Beach’ that had been officially dubbed the ‘Miami Vice’ by Nike LeBron designer Jason Petrie, and anyone who calls himself a LeBron fan surely has their calendars marked for June 2nd. Nike won’t leave the small-footed kick-fiends hanging, because a similar Miami Vice colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 will also hit stores; as you can see, these are not the Elite build, but carry a near-identical color-blocking to the $250 counterpart. A full shot of the shoe below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates regarding a release. Photos: UnchartedDrake on NT
If these were in men for $170 I still wouldn't cop these and wouldn't trip about it. If people shoot over these it'll just be hypebeasts killing each other and that's what the sneaker game needs lmao
Probably gonna pick these up only if I cant get the Elites. I like both in their own respect. Damn, June is gonna kill my pockets!!
whaaaaack.... i already have my elites and they're beautiful. guess my lady will have to settle for these
could they make a hyprid of the elite south beach looks/materials and prices with these miami vice?(these will definitely be cheaper)
Why couldn't they come out like this in the first place? I prefer the original 9 design over the elites.....I'm no hypebeast the shoe just looks better....but thats just my opinion
LMAOOOOOOO. This is funny, but they actually look better as regular Brons and Not Elites but theyll sell out regardless in mens sizes jus like elites did even tho everybody cried about the price tag
I'm copping these for my son... I hope I can get my hands on pair on elites for my self for a decent price
^^ it will be $250 for size 7 in the elites, count me out. Got the GS south beaches still in mint condition... pass on them both!
too bad my feet cant fit a size 7... or i'd opt for these instead of those expensive elite shxts smdh
seeing all the people who cry about the $250 price for the Elites... if these released in men's sizes for $170 people would be getting killed over these...
they not, SN just trying to be cool and switch up nicknames. they always try to jump first on dubbing a sneaker (ex. the Bubblicious, but then that turned into the Floridians). Now it looks like they might try to change South Beach to Miami Vice. Regardless, I'm calling them South Beach because that is what they are.
if you can fit into a size 7 and afford these without asking mommy to buy you a $250 and a $170 pair of shoes, you have problems...
