A Look Inside J.R. Smith’s Sneaker Closet

This ‘season’ (‘year’ might be a better word, given the circumstances) has been an interesting one for J.R. Smith. Seven years in on his prep-to-pro career in the NBA, Smith chose to avoid all the lockout uncertainty and head eastward to the Chinese Basketball Association. Though he was able to accomplish such feats as scoring 41 off the bench, Smith couldn’t get the Zhejiang Golden Bulls into the CBA playoffs, so with his season over, he was cleared to return to the States. J.R. signed with New York in Feburary at the peak of Linsanity, and though the Knicks are also done, they did manage to break a lengthy postseason losing streak. And now that this shooting guard whose on-court stylings got him onto the All-NBA Feet First Team, is done with a gruelling two-continent campaign, he’s free to goof around and do things like tweet photos of his sneaker closet. As you’d expect from a professional baller, the shelving units are a luxurious wooden build and they’re covered in Air Jordans, everything from 1s to AJF Fusions and some clear evidence that JR’s favorite Jays are the XX (perhaps owing to fond memories of his rookie season) — and what about all those Bibby PEs? Click through to see an expanded view of JR Smith’s sneaker closet and let us know how it compares to some of the other notable collections we’ve profiled here on Sneaker News.

Lol this generation is so easily appeased by quantity and not quality. Much respect on the collection but I'm not seeing ANY heat tho! Way too many fusions for my blood.
Im not a fan of the fusions either, but JR's Bibi PE 13's would kill most peoples best heat right there.
nobody noticed because there are no black/blue 13s...they're black/purple Bibby PE 13 lows
Celebrity sneaker collections. F..k that! They get no respect from me! They don't have to camp or pay hype beast re-seller prices, call me a hater, if you want. My opinion.
Never seen someone show that much love to 20's. I got a red pair but never really wear them. The leg strap feels odd after a few hrs to me.
i give him respect for wearing what he like not what everyone else like... But im not seeing anything that really apeals to me. I only got about 35 pair in my collection he has waaaay more. And I would rather keep mine than have his.... But my shoes are mine because IIIII like them...
That guy is like a chick with a million shoes! lol It's all good. Shoes are good. Can't hate.
wow thats awesome!! i love how they are in book shelves that looks so classy i wish i had this!
He keeps nothing inside of the shoe boxes. Everyone knows that Jordan 5 s, 6 s, and of 11s yellow faster when not stored properly. But needless to say he can buy more, he's. Rich.
If he had that many pair of XI's ya'll wouldn't say shit. Also if you read the article, you'd know why he say so many XX's
Not to take anything away from him, but it hard to give him the full respect of his shoe closet. When you have a boat load money to play with and you are into shoes your closet is suppose to look like this. I tip my hat off to regular working class citizen who has a 9 to 5 and yet has a closet similar and even better than this. None the less nice look tho.
