Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Raptors’

After this August’s release of the ‘Golden Moments Pack’, Jordan Brand will hit us with one final Air Jordan VII release – the original ‘Charcoal’ colorway that Michael wore in 1992 en route to his second NBA Title. Recognized for its unique colorway that seemed somewhat aberrant from the classic Black/Red theme of the Air Jordan line, this popular Air Jordan VII would later be dubbed the ‘Raptors’ as the Purple/Hot Red color matched the Toronto Raptors jersey – an expansion team that joined the NBA in the ’95-’96 NBA Season. That ‘Raptors’ would make a comeback in 2002 and as well as in 2009 as part of the 60+ Pack, so count this September’s release as the fourth overall issue of this colorway. its a must cop my favorite of all 7s but i thought the charcoal 7s were releasing not these
Almost ready to retire, I have the 02's in mint condition but need a fresh pair. The sneaker game is winding down for me, after all the 2012 heat I need a new pair of Bred XIII, which drop next year and don't forget the columbia XI. Maybe retro XVI's WHite/Navy if they every do them also. Then I'm done for good

The OG laces really stand out to me... LOVE 'EM.
wtf are these the raptors from the 60+ pack are way better than these and these laces should be flat not round smh

if these are the 2012 these are pretty much dead on to the 2002 raptors..count me in!!! all black is fine with me..as i said from the get-go ..i prefer the 2002 version..the og is actually black and shadow!
SN be fucking up these r not the OG colorway, these r the 02 colorway. The 09's r the closet to OG color wise but the grey was too light and the OG's were a darker grey. Other then that these r hot but u phony ass hating complainers r going to cop anyways. Again how can u judge quality based on one pic or a pic period. And only a fool would think that the old durabuck is better then nubuck.
If you guys read it it says that those are the og raptors , not the actual retros that are coming out this year .

How does no one point out that these aren't the "raptors". There is a difference between the "raptors" and the "charcoals" from 1992. Totally different colorway. The 02 and 09 raptors are similar but not the same. These are a Retro to the 1992 charcoals. You would think that people who call themselves sneakerheads would have picked up on this. If you like the shoe buy it but if you're buying it for the history then get your facts right.

These are 02 raptors. The 2012 pair is going to have flat laces like every other 7s that released in the past 6 years..
