Nike isn’t skimping on footwear options when it comes to the upcoming celebration of the Dream Team, celebrating 20 years of history at the Olympic Games in London. To celebrate Team USA Basketball and its legendary dominance of international basketball, Nike will release the ‘Dream Team’ Collection, highlighting four memorable sneakers that utilized the Olympic Games as a podium. One of the four is the Air More Uptempo, worn by Scottie Pippen during the ’96 Games; these actually released as a House of Hoops exclusive in 2010 and looks to make a quick comeback – not that anyone is complaining. Click below for additional close-ups of the 2012 issue and keep an eye out for a release this July, as UK’s endclothing will open up a pre-order on June 1st.
I don't see a problem with Nike re-releasing these so quickly. It's not like there was plenty of pairs to go around when the HOH pair released. I'm just disappointed that these don't have the number 8 on the back. They look great, but damn really wanted the 8.
THESE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE HOH RELEASE..BUT DONT SEE ANY HINT OF THT GOLD 8 ON THE BACK..DID NIKE REALLYHAVE TO RETRO THEM 2 YRS LATER..THEY LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK..
I would love to get these but I doubt I will. Between bills, Nike raising prices, planning a vacay, so many other shoes coming out, and probably a limited release on these: I'm going to miss out
i like that they changed the midsole back to the way the og looked...the 1st pic of these retros had the sole flipped shit looked wack as hell
It shouldn't even be retroing a year and a half later, but hopefully has some distinguishable difference to stand out from newjacks
