A lot of older Jordan fans react to the ‘Raptors’ nickname with hesitation, and rightfully so; the sneakers debuted when the Toronto Raptors weren’t even a thought, but upon the 2002 Retro release, the Raptors name stuck like glue (the Raptors were one of the most popular teams of the league thanks to the talents of Vince Carter). If we could give these another nickname, it would be the ‘Shrug’; during Game 1 of the ’92 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan pulled of the greatest ‘half’ of play in Finals history, scoring 35 points while hitting six three-pointers. What makes that exhibit so special was that Michael, despite being the offensive juggernaut, didn’t truly operate around the perimeter – that wasn’t his forte. It was during that streak of three-pointers that pulled the Bulls away from the Blazers in Game 1, which let to an eventual blow-out victory. Of course, what we remember is Jordan’s iconic shrug as he jogged by the scorers table, which would later serve as one of the most iconic Jordanisms in history! It's not that the shoe looks horrible. It's that this is what Nubuck used to look like. Nike has stepped it up. Materials are different than 20 years ago...

People still complaining saying they look terrible or the dmps look closer to the 2002s and the OGs when these are all black just like the 2002 pair. Yall complaining but still going to cop. Everyone said when the dmps came out that they were ugly and that you wanted a 2002 looking pair and when Jordan Brand Actually responds, you still complain. All the negativity is protocol on these shoe websites at this point...Every Jordan that came out this year was criticized to a certain extent....all of them sold out except for the Stealth 10's and Cool Grey 12's for obvious reasons! 7's are my favorite all time Jordan, simple cause of history, look and this cw was my first ever Jordan. As much as I love it everytime they retro, I know the majority have no idea wtf they're buying and are just following the herd. What a shame, I just hope they keep the Hares in the vault for another 5-10 years. Seeing they're the last OG cw to be retroed on its own.
These were my first ever Jordans as well. Amazing how one gets hooked so easily.
1st off these are the "Playoff" 7's not the Raptors. People really only call these the Raptors bc when Jalen Rose was Playing with them he had these on in an away game. 2nd what happened to the OG Charcoal Accents?!?!? Many of u don't know the OG AJ 7 'Playoffs" had Charcoal Accents that appeared after a few wears bc the shoe was originally mad with both Nubuck and Durabuck. The Charcoal accents were the Durabuck. THE SHOE IS NOT ORIGINALLY ALL BLACK. The DMP's were closer to the Og's than the 2002. Good thing I have 2 pairs of the DMP's. Suede on the 7's.....smh
the 2002s where the actual colorway from 92 and the dmp is far offf from any jordan 7.the dmp 7 is not even close to the original.i think that release was stupid

exactly what i said in the last article about these. it took a while for everyone to catch on to sneaker sites hyping up the other "non 11" jordans (cement 4s,3s etc) but this time its obvious. smh
