“Bordeaux” Jordan Son of Mars – New Images
June 2nd, 2012 by Aaron Hope | 25 comments

A fitting blend for a sneaker composed of elements from Air Jordans III-VI plus the XX strap, the Jordan Son of Mars has to this point been roughly split between classic colorways and new looks. One of these signature looks has even been through the process twice, as the earlier ‘Pop Art’ original was compared to this more obvious Air Jordan VII homage thanks to its colorful accents. But whereas the first pair was a considerable stretch to connect with the Sevens that first retroed last February after a nineteen year wait, this ‘Bordeaux’ Jordan Son of Mars really lives up to its name. That’s not to say they haven’t all been altered, though, as the Son of Mars adds a bit of mint green to its heel and outsole to connect the ‘Bordeaux’ palette with one of 2012′s trendy colors. Check out new images after the jump below and let us know if the mid-September release date is already circled on your calendar. Photos: Taobao

terrible.
Why can't they make the elephant prints the same tone?
9-15-2012, these are bought. fer sure.
they sold me on the strap with this pair, too
Ahhhh yesss....very dope as usual!!
i thought the bottom sole glowed in the dark cuz of the mint green...........
Definite pass, just like all of the Son of Mars to date.
If I didn't already have the Bordeaux VII's I'd get these.
the original 7's in 92 had mint green on them u clowns...
No more like olive green. Check kickspedia for OG pics.
olive green is the 2011 model, not the 1992 model..
Give me the laces.
I like em but why the mint green?
It's called a complementary color. When placed next to each other, complements make each other appear brighter. So the Mint Green sets off the Bordeaux color, making it stand out more. Design 101. The more you know, kids...
IMO the green makes it && yes those laces with my 7's would be sick!!!!!!!!!!
Yea instead of mint green it should have been yellow or purple
that forest green on the VIIs woulda been better.
mint green ruins it
its an easy "custom job" to rid yourself of the green my dude
First!
I sure wouldn't mind having those strings so i can do a lace swap with my Bordeaux VIIs lol
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i honestly like them. thats just me tho
they straight, just not feeling those hints of mint green on em smh
I LOVE THE MINT GREEN!!!!!!! thats what make da bops look.shits are cold. ima big fan of the SoMs cuz of colorways. #KTdajwalka
