In previous viewings of this upcoming Retro release, some of our readers have asked the question: “Where’s Mars?”. It’s understandable that the younger generation of budding Air Jordan fanatics would pose that thought, so we’ll take a quick moment to clear the air; the original Air Jordan IV in the “Fire Red” colorway did not feature the iconic Mars Blackmon logo on the heel, as that was just a special accent used for the 2006 Retro release. The original “Fire Red” colorway from ’89 (which Michael wore during the first half of the ’89-’90 season before debuting the Air Jordan V at the ’90 All-Star Game) makes its truest return yet, although “Fire Red” has been replaced with the omnipresent Varsity Red – but who can really tell? These aren’t set for a release until August of this year, so there’s plenty of time to mull it over (although you shouldn’t overlook this Saturday’s release of another OG A4), so check out the quick sampling of photos below and cop a pair right now from el-store on eBay.

I ordered from this guy and will be returning.. Got these and Olympic 7s from him last week, and I don't think they're real so anyone who cops should be weary. The tongue on this particualr pair is a lot longer than the ones on the wht/cements an militarys, plus the little bulge on the back near the jumpman on the heel is flat. Another thing is that he shipped the sneakers in a big plastic bag, also the hangtag came on the left shoe instead of the right shoe and the production dates didn't match. Just letting you all know. I will never buy from El-Store again. The seller Limited Shoes sold good pieces as far as the Obsidian 12s went, but these and his Olympic 7s in my opinions aren't authentic.
Already got a crease on it DS....Imagin the quality after being worn a few times smh.....
There you go. Read sneakermogul's comment. Those are photos of Early Release fakeness/defects/bgrades from a shysty seller. The heel of the sole looks off white not grey. THOSE SOLES ARE SUSPECT. And brand new shoes shouldn't have creases already in them. JB isn't that bad. You can't base your opinion on those photos. Who knows what those shoes are. And that is why its good these sites blow up/hype up these shoes and give multiple pictures from different sources, becuase eventually we'll get some legit pix that make em look dope.

Wooow a lil disappointed these are creasing early SMH. JB needs to stepthey game up quality for all J's.
Adding to the 4 collection....!! Can't wait!! And to reply to the blog,...it's because a lot of today's younger sneakerheads thought that the Mars 4's were the OG's. Color way, YES! Shoe with Mars on it, NO!
Stil in doubt about the Military IV's as I stil have an '06 pair that's pretty decent but these are a must have for me !!

These joints aint got nothing on the mars from 2006. Still gonna cop a few pairs just to resell, while im breaking out a brand new DS pair from 06 on the release day.

quality nowadays of jb is getting F#ck up every retro release..imo this is a nice pair of fire red...but i will not spend my hard earned money of this quality...thats just me....

that's because it looks like actual real cow leather not that pleather crap they used on the white/cement release would you should be happy about.

This isn't even the OG colorway. Fire red > Varsity red. Hypebeasts are still gonna be thirsty as hell over these though. Smh.
i'm almost positive its a GR. obviously will sell out, but not a QS like the cavs. and people will camp for anything these days. passed by a house of hoops and thought it was a soup kitchen (yeezy 2s).
