The Vans Sk8-Hi has dropped in so many collaborative or otherwise altered designs of late, we can’t help but reminisce about how perfect its original silo has been in simple colors over the years. Take for example this new drop in Pewter suede. It’s got a bit of the ‘Iron’ Dunk SB look to it thanks to the charcoal grey base, True Blue branding and black laces and lining, but one could convincingly argue that without this shoe, the Nike Dunk would have never been appropriated as a skate sneaker. Skateboarding as a whole just wouldn’t be the same without that iconic Off the Wall aesthetic, and you’re not going to find a better exemplar of this time-tested formula than the new pair of Sk8-His that just dropped at Concepts.
