Air Jordan IX “French Blue”

IF you wanna pick up some Air Jordan IX’s in 2012 you’ve got a bit of a wait ahead of you. Granted that wait will be peppered with plenty of other hot retro releases so that should make it a bit more palatable. What’s on the menu when they do arrive? A mixture of the new and old, with this pair ending up in the former category as a reprisal of the 2002 pair sporting a similar but not exactly the same ‘French Blue’ look. What’s different on the Air Jordan IX “French Blue” in store for this year? First of all the blue hue is stretched a bit further in the midsole area, secondly the outsole seems slightly more milky this time around, almost looking like a glow in the dark effect is in place. these are really disappointing, i was hoping for the french blue's and instead looks like we are gonna get the french purples.

If you go on the link to the twitter that the pic was taken from he tweeted "They are MEDIUM GREY/WHITE-COOL GREY/PURPLE not french blue"...... So everyone calm down.

Thats not a gum bottom, they've been sitting in the damn sun to Long at the factory. Nike didn't knw wether to release them or burn them. Very let Down. Bring baq original heat and lots of them plain and simple
Alright wait just one min. Looking at the Air Jordan History on Sneakernews, the French Blues and these "French Blues" are two entirely different colorways. These should be given a different name regardless of if they have the same color blue in certain areas.
If these are supposed to be the Flints/Frenchies from 02, Jordan Brand failed. They're so off. Samples of these released back in April. I thought it'd get better...guess not. The 02 pair the midsole & upper pretty much match up...these...idk whats going on but these are bad. Let the newbies eat these up.

Air Jordan IX “French Blue” was my first pair of Jordan's Hope the official released shoes stay the same to the 2002 version.
I have two pair of the original french blue and i like these much better. I'm not one who want to see the same colors retro all the time, I much rather new colors.

I pray this is a sample or a gs size. This is literally a new color way. I wouldn't even call it the French blues. The mid sole is suppose to be grey not blue!

Honestly, these look like some fakes. The jumpman is centered instead of slanted. The outsole looks like crap and the tongue liner looks like the TXT material on the Old Royal 10s. I say No.

Not be on some "Hate" stuff but these are wack, I really though JB would bring back the 2002 version I had back in 7th grade. Guess I'll be passing up on these and searching for a DS Pair of Flint/French Blue 9's in my size. Hopefully they didn't make any significant changes to the Cool Grey 9's.

i like it like that. the milky color looks better than a pure white color in my opinion
it said it might be glow in the dark. if it is then these could be a potential hit. but every jordan retro has been flying off shelves so it might sell out regardless

It is. This guy has a small foot. He has a lot of kicks too & early releases. He's with ATF(Drakes group). So they get first dibs on a lot of stuff. Thats why Drake got those fugly custom V's. He's got deep connects with Jordan.
I hope so too because that's the size I need!
