The comic book and sneaker cultures have both undergone a similar explosion over the past five or so years, each propelled by blockbuster releases bringing throngs of new folks into the fold. Perhaps the biggest blockbuster release we’ll ever see in the comic book category was the big screen release of The Avengers, that Marvel super squad so jam packed with talent. One of the big reasons the movie was a hit was its ability to cram so many big name heroes into one piece, which is exactly what Expression Airbrush has done on this custom pair of Nike Dunk High’s dubbed ‘What the Vengers’, painting them pretty much all over with a comic book look featuring space for Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. Click through for a detailed look at this crazy piece that even paints the box with its inspiration and assemble your comments after the jump.

Incredible detail and work I'm jealous!!! I want a pair and I wish I was this good at airbrushing.
think about it.... the only reasons "customs" are "dope" or whatever reason ppl keep doing them is becuase for the most part sneakers now a days are complete s h i t lol i could never imagine us doing this back in the day to the og's (whatever they may be). Sneaker game is so lame now.
I like how he used the natural lines and shapes of the shoe to be a part of the design.... One of the better planned out custom jobs imo
seriously i will buy these from him for a pretty good amount of cash right now..since I'm a 9.5 too i would definitely do it without thinking twice..these are certified crack cocaine..
