Ever wish that the “Black Cat” treatment that found its way onto the Air Jordan III and Air Jordan IV in 2007 and 2006 respectively would have kept on rolling to touch up some other favorite legacy silhouettes? This sample gives some insight as to what the results could have been, with the wear test pair sharing most in common with the Air Jordan V ‘Metallic’. Turning down a bit of the floss factor on that OG colorway, these slide some black in on the tongue and on the all important shark-tooth design lining the midsole. Are these (almost) all-black everything Air Jordan V’s deserving of a retail release? Let us know what you think and peep the rest of the pics after the jump. Photos: ARTAPHAX
They're too close to the metallic V's, but without the good parts of those V's. If I'm gonna buy a blacked out J, it's gotta be BLACKED. THE FUCK. OUT. I'm talkin black "23", black/charcoal clear sole (Like Dixon Syder said), black tongue, black jumpman (maybe leave the mesh how it is, idk). Black them bitches out like they did those X's back in the day. While I'm always supportive of JB throwing out new colorways, this one looks lazy and incomplete. Has potential though. Maybe go with some nubuck uppers or something, make it real classy and quality.
Please remove the 23 of the side... Makes them look so childish even if Mikey's signatures had that. If they black out or better yet remove the 23 & go with clear black/charcoal soles that would be perfect.
Who cares what they resale for? It's resellers who kill the game hyping shoes up and depreciating the value on shoes now! These are dope and personally I hope these drop next year or sneak in this year I'd love snatch em!
no a hypebeast would say omg sooooooo hoooooottt like half of you brainwashed sheep that come on here. buddy was spot on with his comment all they did was blackout the tongue and didn't paint the shark teeth and people act as though the colorway is never before seen.
