Nike Women: “Voices”

“Somebody’s gotta be the best. So why not me?”

One of the greatest landmarks in the history of sports is Title IX, which celebrates its 40th Anniversary on this day. In a nutshell, Title IX stated “it’s anyone’s game”, and since ’72, a number of prominent athletes (who just so happened to be women) emblazoned their names in the permanent record of sports legends – names like lisa Leslie, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Marlen Esparza, and Diana Taurasi. Nike has championed female athletes and worked to change the game during that span, and today, Nike releases “Voices” – a mini-film which celebrates women’s achievements over the last four decades.
