Leading his team to the win while battling a nasty flu, scoring a key bucket with exceptional flair against the Lakers, and hitting six three-pointers in the first-half – all of these motivational and inspiring moments came on the game’s biggest and most pressure-driven stage, which MJ seemed undeterred by. The OG True Red colorway (referred to as the ‘Raptors’ nowadays) was what Jordan wore when he attacked the Portland Trail Blazers with a barrage of threes in Game 2 of the ’92 Finals, but that moment is just one page in the tome that is Michael Jordan history. I call these the Playoff 7's bc these were released in April of 1992 around the time the playoffs had started. And the 2010 DMP's were closer to the OG's. Only diff. is the the charcoal accents are lighter than the OG's. And the OG had flat laces.
Look great! Impressed with JB. Sneaker news. These aren't Raptors. There are no such things. How can they be? When they're a retro of an original that was around before the team existed? 1992- Bred 20002- Charcoal 2010- DMP Bulls 2012- Charcoal. People need to get their facts straight. Raptor is just a nickname. I call these Charcoals.
If you want flat laces go buy some damn flat laces, that's what i'm doing, it's not that difficult. The only annoying thing is having to pull up pics of the og's to show stupid kids that the originals had flat laces so they quit bitching that you lace swapped em. >.<

bc kids and lames name shht nowadays and the name sticks i guess. these ARE CHARCOAL 7s. The raptors werent even around when the og's dropped in 92... death2thehypebeast
If you are looking for OG"dark chacoal" like retro, then buy DMPs. If you are looking for 02"Raptors" like retro, then buy 2012 retro. All black, oval laces and probably plastic lace tips, nothng close to "OG chacoal"

Did you have OG VII's in 92? Apparently not, because The 02's were almost 100% accurate to the first run of black/dark charcoal/true red OG's (minus the oval laces). Nearly all black with a little nap to the suede on the toe & side panels. There WAS a 2nd run made later in 92 that had a smoother, lighter nubuck replacing the suede, though. The 02's are basically identical. Can't tell for sure, but it looks like this newest pair may be solid durabuck, which NO version of this shoe has ever been.

DMP was far better than these. DMPs were true to OG colorway and had flat laces. You're right bout one thing these are just like the 02 which were CRAP!

all i have to say is no one is going to be satisfied if aint one thing its another the JB brand is just giving the people what they want which is a re retro of the sneaker take it or leave it the shoe is not that bad besides the material is cheap looking because it is cheaper to get im not proud of it be hey i bet money that a ton of people are going to get them.
If thats the case u saying durabuck is better than nubuck. This nubuck on these is not cheap again u ppl refuse or dont wanna expect certain materials to be better. If the durabuck from 92 was so great they woukd still use it, durabuck been thrown away since the early 2000's and its been nubuck ever since bcuz its a better material

if u knew about different types of stitching you would know that the jumpman stitching is a downgrade
U a lie the jumpman stitching been getting better. U need to do ur research you way off
the type of stitching used here is less time consuming therefore cheaper compared to the last retros and the originals if u had any to compare u would understand but uobviously u dont

I think there gonna be a quickstrike in sept or oct. just a guess and the reason why i say that is because the jordan brand has been releasing 2 retros a month lately and only 1 has been comfirmed for sept and oct so far.

The release was NEVER confirmed by Jordan Brand or Nike. Someone started the rumor, and just like the grape laney pack, it spread across the net like wild fire.
