The Nike Barkley heritage line continues in 2013 with the return of the Nike Air Max 2 Strong; originally released in 1995 and named the Air 2 Strong Hi, this Barkley classic shares the same aggressive midsole design as the Air Max2 CB’ 94 that preceded it, but with a high-top Anti-Inversion ankle support system that provided lockdown and secure fit. This particular model was popular amongst big-men of that era, but a Mid version was also created – and Retro’ed – in the 2000’s. Three colorways in the OG Black/White, a classics Phoenix Suns, and a new White/Teal/Violet colorway are set for a release this Spring 2013 season, so check out all three below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Nike Retro updates!
