Isn’t the combination of Wingtip design and Lunar cushioning the Cole Haan Lunargrand? Not so fast, because Nike’s whipped up its own version of the classic golf staple called the Nike Lunar Swingtip, set for a release beginning this July. Nike worked closely with Hurley, one of its Affiliate brands, for the design of the shoe, grabbing insights not just from golfers, but from skater, surfers, and other action sports athletes who like to tee off from time to time. Wingtips have always been an unofficial ‘uniform’ of golf, but with the casual Lunar outsole and the engineered outsole traction fine-tuned at the Nike Sports Research Lab, the Lunar Swingtip combines pure performance with the specific action sports fashion style. Four different colorways are available with three different materials such as leather ($150), suede ($140), and canvas ($130) so check ’em out below and look out for a release starting July 1st.
