The Authentic is the original Vans deck shoe that became a skateboarding standard, its no-nonsense build already something of a ‘deconstructed’ look. In fact, the easiest way to tell the Authentic from the Era is the former’s utter lack of ankle cushioning, but apparently it can be stripped down even further.
