Jordan Brand explored four of these stories through its Jordan Brand #RiseAbove Documentaries, beginning with an inspirational story from Iraq and continuing in Dallas, Leishan Village, and Chicago. The first leg of the Jordan Brand #RiseAbove Documentaries begins in Iraq where a worthy spotlight is shone on Laylan, a 20-year-old Iraqi girl who fights against the pressure of her country’s traditional gender roles and rises to become a leader of her all-female basketball team, surpassing the expectations of being a “stay at home” girl. spent few years in Iraq and wish people knew how much we done. we dont care about the thanks, we care about these types of documentaries that tell the truth. heres a small part on what we gave to those people. its a beautiful place there and one day people will realize the positive. political issues aside, they loved us there and giving them a simple taste what freedom is and how much it really cost. RIP to those Marines I served with that never came home alive. LOVE-
