We’re surfing the 25th anniversary Safari wave at its peak right now, having just come off a weekend where not only did the OG Air Safari colorway arrive at select Nike Sportswear retailers, but there was also an Air Trainer 1 in the same style to go along with a bunch of VNTG releases. Those Vintage drops were the first time the Air Safari has been subjected to such treatment, and ironically, their antique look served to foreshadow additional new styles to come this summer. The Nike Air Safari Deconstruct gives us a slimmed down take on one of Tinker Hatfield’s ‘Air Pack’ designs, and in the process, becomes conspicuous by its complete lack of the Ostrich-inspired print with which it shares its name. Click through to see more of the Sandtrap and Team Brown Air Safari Deconstruct and pre-order yours in advance of the August ship date from Titolo.
