Air Jordan “Golden Moments” Pack – Packaging Sneak Peek
July 6th, 2012 by John K. | 13 comments

Jordan Brand dropped jaws when it unveiled the first ever two-pair Defining Moments Package in January of 2006. The large rectangular mass featured a slide-out casing that unfolded like a book, with each side covered with a plastic housing that featured His Airness in some his most photogenic moments in 1991 and 1996. Later in August, Black and Gold makes a return in the ‘Golden Moments‘ Package, featuring the Air Jordan VI and VII colored up in the same colorways, but here we have a first look at what sort of neat packaging could be in store; what we do see is a black box, but with a golden crest depicting two more of Michael’s moments. Does the Golden Moments even pertain to the Olympics, or will be re-told two of Jordan’s most classic stories? We’ve got some additional shots courtesy of Fat Joe below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates on what could potentially be the Jordan release of the year!

@BlackAndBent shut up crying quality, quality, materials. You jumped on this trend like skinny jeans, if u dont like dont buy but all u doing is complaining and wasting space. Really how many retros u got, u dissing but u gone end up standing in line tomorrow for the olympic 6's and other retros. GTFOOH wit all and go sit down, u havent gave a fuck about 4-6 years ago no or as a kid we just wanted to wear shoes & now everybody is a scienctist on sneakers smdh
Personally I like this pack. Nothing too wild are crazy on JB's part. 2 nice simple colorways. I'm game
Nikes are like drugs. They are targeting younger generations to make moe $$$$ in collaboration with sneaker websites and celebrities to build the hype. Definitely I'm not falling into such a stupid trap.
At this point, I think I like the VII's better. The paint on the VI's midsole looks a little "off". If they have that super cheap slick, shiny leather, then I'm definitely gonna pass.
Look like they skimped on quality as usual. That gold paint looks awfully cheap and not well done. I could be wrong but im not sure there is many people that will wanna walk around with gold shoes... apart from rappers? Jordan Brand pretty much dead these days anyway, PE's are all ugly, no fresh looks, all just stuck on re-issuing the 14th rendition of the same retro from 20 years ago. Probably will for the next 20 years too. Pretty boring if you ask me. Probably young kids/first timers may enjoy, though they seem not to mind paying all this money for some pretty cheap materials/quality control being used, which is worrying. Thats probably helping JB save money(help out chinese factory workers)/increase profits, so they can keep re-issuing those same old sneakers though. Pretty weird though that we collected Jordans in the Jordan era, then Kobe's, now Lebrons/Durants. But people still collecting the same Jordans(except in less and less quality)... and the dude hasnt graced a court in how many years? Like over a decade? Me thinks its time to move on, "quit living in the past Marge... your always living in the past" - Homer Simpson. lol. But do your thing. Dont let me stop you.
Hey Personally i like them and i want them but im not gonna camp out for them because im a young sneaker collector and when people see me they automatically think hypebeast it's a bit agitating but i understand where they are coming from.
@CreatedByLeon Wait! You are not going to do what it takes to get them because you are worried about what other people think? SMH!!! Hypebeast buy what they think is popular and is going to give them approval from the peers. In essence they are ultimately concerned with what other people think. Not trying to call you out or anything. Enjoy your hobby and cop what you like. Just offering some food for thought.
@CreatedByLeon Do you young sneakerhead...just don't get 'em to sell or because the next dude got them. How do u think we feel trying to get 'em in line ('cause online went faulty) with these youngstas...these hypebeasts looking at us like WTF u doin here? LOL
the 7s look oddly dope right here
Should I just put aside $700 now for when I get screwed out of buying these because of Nike's retarded "saved shopping cart" feature or EVERY sneaker site server crashing or stupid 13 years olds with no job camping on these or say **** it...I think if I don't get these for retail my life will go on...decision made. Taking half of that and going for retail and laughing at everyone rocking these the first day they come out while I wear my DMPs I got for retail.
Can't wait for these!
